Amateur boxer Ferdinand Omondi, popularly known as Mbavu Destroyer, has opened up about his condition following his dramatic defeat at the Vurugu Fight Night, revealing that he is still struggling physically after the bout.
Speaking on Thursday, April 9, 2026, Mbavu disclosed that he has not been feeling well since the fight, attributing his condition to a blow he says landed on his genitals during the match.
He dismissed claims that he had been struck in the stomach, maintaining that the impact was directed elsewhere and insisting that the injury has had a significant effect on his body.
“I am not doing well. It’s true that I was attacked, and since that fight, I haven’t been able to have an erection,’ Mbavu said.
The boxer went on to explain that the aftermath of the incident has affected him in ways he did not anticipate, stating that he has been unable to function normally since the fight. He emphasised that his current state is serious and appealed to the public to treat the matter with sensitivity rather than turning it into a source of humour.
“I was not hit on the stomach; I was struck on my genitals. It’s not possible that I was hit on the stomach because the injury was to my genitals. Overall, I don’t feel well, and I ask that no one laughs about this matter,” he said.
