Police officers from Embakasi sub-county have apprehended three suspects linked to an attempted heist at the Viraj Complex Godowns.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects had orchestrated a plan to steal from Godown Number 22 and leave on a moment’s notice.

Their luck, however, ran out when a security guard noticed the suspects’ suspicious movement and alerted police officers, who were quickly dispatched to the scene.

The coordinated response led to the arrest of Stephen Mwangi, Peter Okumu and Kennedy Wanyingi.

At the scene, the officers recovered a white Mitsubishi Canter, with its front and rear registration number plates cleverly concealed using a polythene bag.

The vehicle, which was poised to transport the stolen goods, was towed to the police station and filed as a key piece of evidence in the investigation.

The three suspects are currently undergoing processing pending arraignment.
