Police have arrested 22 suspects during a crackdown on illegal alcohol in Barnabas and Pipeline areas of Nakuru East in Nakuru County.
During the operation, officers recovered 40 litres of industrial ethanol, 11 gambling machines, several mobile phones, 16 boxes of uncustomed cigarettes, and second-generation alcohol repackaged in branded bottles.
The crackdown was led by Samuel Boit, who reaffirmed the police service’s commitment to tackling criminal activities in the region.
Boit said the operation is part of ongoing efforts to curb the production and distribution of illicit brews and other illegal activities in the county.
Authorities have indicated that the suspects remain in custody as investigations continue.
