Police are actively searching for suspects involved in the fatal stabbing of a 24-year-old man in the Ruai area of Nairobi. Ian Omondi passed away from his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital following an incident on July 4.

According to police reports, Omondi had been at a local drinking spot where he got into an altercation with unidentified individuals. The dispute escalated into a physical confrontation during which he was stabbed in the buttocks. Excessive bleeding led to his death at Mama Lucy Hospital.

Authorities handling the case have confirmed that no arrests have been made yet, and efforts to apprehend the assailants are ongoing. Omondi’s body has been transferred to the mortuary pending an autopsy.

In a separate incident in Cheptaywa village, Gavudunyi sub-location, Vihiga County, the body of a 46-year-old man named Nelson Galuktwa was found beside the road, approximately 50 meters from his home. His body displayed a facial cut, neck bruises, and blood from the mouth.

Relatives informed the police that Galuktwa had left home with three friends on the night of July 2 but did not return. His body was discovered the following day. Police have launched a murder investigation into the incident.
