A tragic accident occurred in the Molo area on Sunday morning, resulting in one fatality and five injuries after a matatu collided with a trailer. According to the truck driver’s account, both vehicles were traveling in the direction of Eldoret when the incident happened near Jolly Farm in Molo.
Allegedly, the driver of the matatu, owned by Sifa Line Company, attempted to overtake the trailer before crashing into its rear.
Upon receiving reports of the accident, traffic police officers swiftly responded to the scene and arranged for the vehicles to be towed to Molo police station for further investigation.
The body of the 24-year-old victim was transferred to the morgue at Molo sub-county hospital, while the injured individuals are currently receiving treatment.
