Gor Mahia head coach Charles Akonnor says the team has what it takes to overcome Egyptian giants Pyramids FC when the two teams collide in the first preliminary round of the 2026/27 CAF Champions League.
The highly anticipated first-leg encounter is scheduled for Sunday, September 6 at Nyayo National Stadium from 3pm EAT, with the return leg set for September 13 in Cairo, Egypt.
The winner of the tie will face the victor of El Merriekh Bentiu of South Sudan or Somalia’s Heegan SC in the second preliminary round.
