Moi Forces Academy Mombasa stamped their authority at the Mombasa County Secondary Schools Sports Association Rugby Sevens qualifiers after a dominant performance saw them crowned girls’ champions, securing their place at the upcoming regional championships in Kwale.

The academy side was in a good form throughout the tournament, finishing unbeaten and without conceding a single point.

They KDF associated school opened their campaign with a 50-0 victory over Maweni before wrapping up their pool matches with an even bigger 57-0 win against Bomu.

Their flawless run saw them top the standings with two wins from two matches, amassing an impressive 107 points while maintaining a perfect defensive record.

Maweni finished second after recovering from their opening defeat to Moi Forces with a 15-0 victory over Bomu.

The result earned them one win and one loss from their two outings. Bomu, endured a difficult tournament, finishing third after suffering defeats in both of their matches.

In the boys’ category, Tononoka Secondary School emerged as the tournament champions after an impressive campaign that saw them overcome stiff competition to lift the title.

The tournament served as a key qualification pathway for teams seeking a spot at the regional championships.
