Newly promoted APS Bomet, a Bomet-based football club, aims to strengthen their squad as they prepare for the 2024–2025 National Super League (NSL) season, with ambitions to reach the top tier of Kenyan football within a year.

Team CEO, Chief Inspector Rose Chemutai, stated their determination to make a statement following a challenging period marked by their suspension from the FKF National Super League in the 2022–2023 season.

“The boys really want it. To repeat the feat, we were promoted to the FKF Premier League in the 2021/2022 season, but it was declared null and void, so our target is to get promoted within a year,” Chemutai averred.

“It’s been a tough outing in the lower tier, and reaching where we are has been achieved because of hard work and dedication.
“We lost top players due to relegation, and now we hope to get experienced players to bolster the squad ahead of the NSL season,” Chemutai added.

Chemutai said APS Bomet will stop at nothing in their ambition to compete in the Kenya Premier League, and plans are underway to secure funding and acquire experienced players for the NSL season.

“We lack the financial muscle. We are exploring many avenues and fundraising for the team in the coming months is part of it.”

The Administration Police side will be seeking to emulate the exploits of Mara Sugar FC from the Trans Mara region, who marked a monumental achievement in their football journey by securing a spot in the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League for the upcoming season.

Disbanded Brook Bond FC and Zoo Kericho FC are the only two teams from South Rift to ever grace the Kenya Premier League.
