Popular media personality and mcee Azeezah Hashim has stirred the pot with her sentiments on modern Kenyan men, claiming they have lost the traditional drive to pursue women and are now ‘playing hard to get’.
In an interview with Wasafi FM, the outspoken 24-year-old didn’t hold back when asked why she would not date a Kenyan man.
“Kenyan men now want women to chase after them. Back home we say ‘they are in their soft boy era’. A man now wants you to be the one doing the chasing and not the other way, calling him in the morning – basically —you being the one running after him,” Azeezah responded to a question about her dating life.
“But that is something I cannot do because I want to be the one being chased and asked out.”
Previously Azeezah noted that she is so open to the idea of being a second wife.

Her remarks come at a time when social dynamics are rapidly changing, with traditional gender roles being questioned and redefined.
During the interview, the Tanzanian radio host interjected, saying the situation is quite similar too as modern Tanzanian men are also now seeking women who can cater to their financial needs.
Baffled by the concept, Azeezah felt lost.
“Now that is what I want to be given to me. That’s too much work. My God,” she responded.
