Cabinet Secretaries, top officials in the executive and legislature have convened in Naivasha for the annual Cabinet retreat.
Top Kenya Kwanza government officials arrived in Naivasha on Sunday evening, in preparation for the yearly meeting that is chaired by president William Ruto.
The retreat, which is set to officially begin today, is aimed at reviewing Kenya Kwanza’s score card, and to highlight key accomplishments since the administration assumed office in September 2022.
“Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and other government officials will review their performance of the current administration in implementing their BETA plan as was agreed upon during the inaugural retreat at the Mount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki,” government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura told the press last week.
Mwaura added that the retreat will also give the government an opportunity to evaluate the achievements made over the last 17 months with an aim of consolidating gains, in order to create synergy for the execution of programs and activities in the 2024 calendar year.
Also, the parliamentary leadership is expected to report on progress of the second session of the 13th Parliament.
