Tanzanian singer Zuchu hosted a Henna Day celebration on Thursday, September 10, bringing together several celebrity couples as she and Diamond Platnumz continued celebrations ahead of their daughter’s 40-day ceremony.
The event, held in Dar es Salaam, brought together Diamond and Zuchu, Juma Jux and his wife Priscilla Ojo, as well as Nandy and her husband Billnass.
The celebrity couples added a touch of glamour to the celebration, with the women dressed in deras as they joined Zuchu and other guests for the evening.
Diamond, Zuchu’s affectionate moments
Diamond and Zuchu were among those who drew attention during the celebration as they appeared close while taking part in the activities.
The couple, who welcomed their daughter on August 2, were seen enjoying the evening together. At one point, Zuchu was captured washing Diamond’s hands before feeding him.

The moment gave guests and those following the celebrations online a glimpse of the couple as they marked an important stage in their journey as parents.
Their daughter’s arrival has been followed by a series of celebrations as the family prepares for the 40-day milestone, which is set to take place on Saturday, September 12, in Madale, Tegeta.
Juma Jux and Priscilla attend
Juma Jux and his Nigerian wife Priscilla Ojo were among the celebrity couples who attended the gathering.
The two have continued to attract attention since their wedding in 2025, which brought together celebrities and family members from Tanzania and Nigeria. Jux recently celebrated his 37th birthday, with Priscilla organising a surprise celebration for him and presenting him with 37 gifts.

At Zuchu’s celebration, the couple arrived dressed for the occasion, blending into the colourful setting as they joined other guests. Also, Jux and Diamond were seen together having conversations and enjoying the events, while Priscilla interacted with Nandy and gifted Zuchu cash during the event.
Nandy and Billnass join the celebration
Singer Nandy also attended with her husband, rapper Billnass. The couple was among the guests who took part in the celebrations, which included music, dancing, and other activities.
Women at the event were seen wearing deras as they danced and enjoyed the evening together. Zuchu also took part in the celebrations, joining the women as they marked the occasion.
The Henna Day was one of the events leading up to the couple’s daughter’s 40-day celebration. Videos and posts from the occasion showed Zuchu with members of Diamond’s family, including his children, as they came together for the celebration.

What Henna Day means
Henna celebrations are traditionally associated with gatherings where henna is applied as part of an occasion, often bringing women, family and friends together.
In this case, the Henna Day forms part of the celebrations surrounding the baby’s first 40 days, with the family using different events to mark the milestone.
The celebrations began with Singo Day on Wednesday, September 9, which Zuchu hosted at her Mbezi Beach home. That gathering was centred around women and came a day before the Henna Day.
Celebrations continue ahead of 40 days
The Henna Day has added another gathering to the celebrations surrounding Diamond and Zuchu’s daughter.
With celebrity couples, family members, and friends coming together, the occasion allowed Zuchu to celebrate the milestone surrounded by people close to her.
The celebrations will culminate in the main 40-day ceremony on Saturday, September 12, as the family continues to mark the arrival of their daughter.
