Liverpool star Curtis Jones on Tuesday night put himself into an unfortunate chapter of UEFA Champions League history, next to Chelsea legend John Terry.

Jones’ penalty in the Champions League Round of 16 second leg tie against Paris Saint-Germain was saved by goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma at Anfield.

Recall that Terry endured an infamous penalty shootout miss in the 2008 Champions League final against Manchester United.

The former defender became the first Englishman to miss a penalty in a Champions League shootout.

Now, Jones has become just the second Englishman after Terry.

Meanwhile, PSG won the match against Liverpool on penalties to qualify for the quarter-final stage.

The match ended 1-0 after Ousmane Dembele opened the scoring in the 12th minute to equalize the aggregate score at 1-1.

The Champions League last-8 ties will take place in April.
