President William Ruto’s daughter, Charlene Ruto, has celebrated her upcoming white wedding to her Tanzanian fiancé, Isaya Yunge, with an elaborate bridal shower attended by close friends and family.

Charlene offered a glimpse into the private celebration through photographs shared on Tuesday, November 3, capturing the decorations, outfits and memorable moments from the gathering.

The event was themed around white and purple, with the president’s daughter dressed in an elegant white gown as her guests embraced pink outfits. Among those who attended was her sister, Stephanie, who joined other women in celebrating the occasion.

Guests were welcomed by a banner bearing the inscription “Welcome to Charlene Bridal Shower”, setting the tone for the celebration.

The venue featured carefully arranged seating, complemented by decorative lighting that illuminated the space as the festivities extended into the evening.

A specially decorated cake was another highlight of the occasion. It carried messages including “Miss Babe to Mrs Babe” and “Hey Mrs Yunge”, symbolising Charlene’s anticipated transition into marriage and her new family identity.

Beyond the elaborate decorations, Charlene used the occasion to acknowledge the women who have walked alongside her through different stages of her life.

In a heartfelt message accompanying the photographs, she expressed appreciation for their friendship, love and support as she prepares to begin married life.

“Grateful that the amazing women I have done life with over the years chose to celebrate me in my new season,” she wrote.

She also reflected on the importance of faith as she prepares for the next chapter, describing Christ as the foundation upon which she intends to build her marriage.

“Christ as our solid foundation and rock, the Word to guide my next step, the laughter and joy of sisterhood and knowing I have their love and support as I start to do life with the one He kept for me,” she added.

Charlene concluded her message by thanking the women she affectionately referred to as her “dadas” and girls for making the occasion special.

The colorful bridal shower in Nairobi was preceeded by an intimate “Mother’s Blessing” gathering where her mother, First Lady Rachel Ruto, aunties, and family friends offered prayers and guidance.

The white wedding ceremony for Charlene Ruto and Tanzanian tech entrepreneur Isaya Yunge is set to take place today, November 6, in Mwanza, Tanzania.

Following traditional celebrations earlier in the year – including her Koito ceremony at the Intonna Heritage Farm in Kilgoris and pre-wedding events in Nairobi – the final wedding celebrations are hosted in the groom’s home region.

Family members, including the groom’s relatives and high-profile guests, have traveled to Mwanza for the grand cross-border celebration.

Meanwhile, President William Ruto has touched down in Mwanza, Tanzania, ahead of the much-anticipated wedding of Charlene, with Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi capturing the arrival on camera and sharing it online.

In the video Sudi posted, the two men walk along a paved courtyard outside a modern multi-storey building with a yellowish facade.

Sudi is dressed in a white long-sleeve button-up shirt, dark trousers and white sneakers.

Ruto stands beside him in a matching light beige short-sleeve shirt and trousers, paired with brown shoes and a light-coloured fedora-style hat, with his hands at his sides.
