The moment Kenyans had been waiting for finally arrived on Friday, 6 November, as Charlene Ruto walked down the aisle in Mwanza, Tanzania, in a breathtaking white gown that immediately became the talk of the wedding.

Footage captured by SPM Buzz shows Charlene emerging from beneath a towering white arch adorned with cascading white roses, stepping onto a mirrored aisle flanked by rows of seated guests.

She wore a fitted, long-sleeved lace gown covered in shimmering beadwork, with an elegant train flowing behind her and a sheer veil framing her face. In her hands, she carried a bouquet of red and green flowers, a vivid contrast to the all-white setting around her.

As she moved slowly down the aisle, guests rose to their feet, applauding and reaching for their phones to capture the scene. Live vocals filled the outdoor venue, set under a clear blue sky with palm trees visible in the background.

Midway through her walk, the ceremony took an even more emotional turn. Waiting for Charlene were her parents: First Lady Rachel Ruto, dressed in a floral gown and a large maroon hat, and President William Ruto, wearing a red patterned jacket, black trousers, a bow tie and his signature straw hat.

The President placed his hand gently on his daughter’s back while Rachel walked on her other side, and together they escorted Charlene the rest of the way down the aisle.

It was a striking image of the first family united for one of the most private milestones a family can share.

Guests continued to cheer as the trio walked beneath a white draped canopy, Charlene’s sparkling train catching the light on the mirrored floor below.
