In a statement shared on Tuesday, the UDA lawmaker said the truck — an Actros 3340 with registration number KBV 364J — had been parked at Kanini Haraka Wholesalers after delivering flour from Eldoret on Monday.
Biego said the truck was attacked amid what he termed “uncalled-for” demonstrations, claiming it was looted and set on fire.
He described the incident as heartbreaking, saying the vehicle had taken years of sacrifice to acquire and was relied on by workers including drivers, loaders and mechanics.
“At a time when many Kenyans are struggling to survive and businesses are fighting to remain afloat, such destruction only increases the suffering of hardworking citizens,” he said.
