Comedian Sammy Kioko has taken a bold step into the political arena, officially announcing his intention to contest the Mavoko constituency Member of Parliament seat in the 2027 general election.
The launch was captured in a video posted on Instagram on September 11, 2026, showing Kioko making his declaration at what appeared to be a formal campaign event held indoors.
A large branded backdrop reading “Mbele Pazuri Sammy Kioko” dominated the venue, while sparklers and pyrotechnic effects added to the celebratory mood of the occasion.
