Businesswoman Cris Njoki has raised a discussion on why women seem to perform better in life when they are single.
On Friday, May 1, 2026, she shared her thoughts while reflecting on personal experiences and conversations with friends. She said the idea came to her as she was going about her normal routine. Her comments focused on how single life can change focus and decision-making.
She explained that she has noticed a pattern where women appear more active and focused when they are not in relationships. According to her, being single pushes women to depend fully on themselves. She said this creates a strong sense of responsibility and direction in life.

Independence and emotional focus
Cris Njoki further explained that single women often realise they have no backup plan and must build their own success. She said this reality forces women to take control of their lives without relying on anyone else. According to her, this can lead to personal growth and stronger decision-making.
“As women, the minute you’re single, you realise there’s no plan B, you have to make it by yourself, there’s no luxury of not making it,” she said.

She also spoke about emotions and how they can be redirected when someone is single. She explained that women are emotional by nature, but that energy can be used in productive ways. She said that instead of focusing on relationships, the same energy can be used for personal development.
“We’re very emotional creatures, so the minute you’re single, you realise you actually have all this emotional energy that you can channel into something else and watch it bloom because you give that same energy to Kevo, you’ll see yourself,” she said.
Cris Njoki also noted that decision-making becomes easier when a woman is single. She said there is less hesitation and fewer consultations before making choices. According to her, this independence speeds up personal progress.
“When you’re single, you make decisions so quickly you don’t have to be there asking someone, ‘ Oh, what do you think? ‘” she said.
