Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale has pledged to fast-track the issuance of title deeds for all public health facilities to curb land grabbing and secure public assets.
During a visit to Kericho County Referral Hospital, where he handed over the hospital’s official title deed, Duale emphasised the urgent need for legal land ownership across the sector to protect and strengthen health infrastructure.
“I have looked for the title deeds of dispensaries and all hospitals. Over 10 million people go to hospitals in a day, so someone cannot purport to grab the land housing hospitals,” he said
He lauded Kericho’s strides in neonatal care and the Social Health Authority program, with 390,000 residents enrolled, and called for expanded specialist training.
