A young scout from Uasin Gishu County left spectators at Kipchoge Keino Stadium wide-eyed after delivering a flawless military-style marching display during rehearsals for the upcoming Mashujaa Day celebrations.

Suleiman Kemboi, a Grade Two learner at Mt. Zion Academy in Eldoret, was captured on video dressed in a military-style uniform and carrying a stick, much like a police officer on parade.

He stood sharply at attention, issued himself commands, then set off with a confident, disciplined march that belied his young age.

Kemboi’s Drill That Left Everyone Watching

The youngster did not stop at a simple march. He executed a crisp about-turn, transitioned into the slow march and skilfully manipulated his stick throughout the routine.

When a man in the background took over, directing him to remove his headgear and salute an imaginary president, Kemboi obliged without hesitation, sending those nearby into a state of quiet astonishment.

Cheers from the crowd could be heard in the background as the boy held his composure, eyes fixed forward, posture upright.

The stadium, which will host the official Mashujaa Day event on October 20, 2026, served as the backdrop for what many viewers later described as a standout moment from the rehearsals.
