Burnley have officially relegated from the Premier League.

This follows their 2-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Despite a promising start with Jacob Bruun Larsen’s 25th-minute goal, their hopes dwindled when Pedro Porro equalized just minutes later.

Burnley dominated the second half, but couldn’t break through Tottenham’s defense.

The defining moment came when Micky van de Ven scored the winning goal for Spurs, sealing Burnley’s fate.

While the draw would have been of little help to Tottenham in their Champions League pursuit, it condemned Burnley to the Championship alongside Sheffield United.

Burnley’s journey in the top flight sadly comes to an end with just one game remaining and a five-point gap behind Nottingham Forest, who sit just above the relegation zone.
