Jamie Carragher has predicted that Arsenal could effectively secure the Premier League title this weekend following Manchester City’s unexpected draw against Everton.

The Cityzens ended the match at Hill Dickinson Stadium with a 3-3 draw, leaving them five points behind their competitors, although they have a game in hand.

During a discussion on the Sky Sports set, Carragher emphasized that a victory for Mikel Arteta’s team against West Ham United, who are battling relegation, would clinch the league title for them.

He remarked that the only match that might pose a challenge for the Gunners is their upcoming visit to the London Stadium to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad.

“If Arsenal wins that away game against West Ham next Sunday, they will have won the league. The title will be secured. I believe that is the pivotal match. If they defeat West Ham, it is essentially over. They will certainly overcome Burnley at home, but the key is the West Ham away match.

“As you mentioned, Manchester City would need to secure maximum points to extend the title race to the final day, but I think if Arsenal triumphs at West Ham, the league title is theirs,” he stated.

Arsenal capitalized on their earlier kick-off to establish a six-point lead over City after their 3-0 victory against Fulham on Saturday.

Pep Guardiola’s team struggled to meet expectations in their match against Everton, requiring a stoppage-time goal to salvage a 3-3 draw, thus remaining five points behind the Gunners.

The Gunners are set to compete against West Ham, Burnley, and Crystal Palace in their remaining fixtures this season, as they pursue their first league title since 2004.

Conversely, Manchester City will face Brentford, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Aston Villa in the matches leading up to the season’s conclusion.
