Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry has named William Saliba as ‘the best centre-back in the Premier League’ last season.

Saliba was impressive for Arsenal last season as he formed a strong partnership in the defense alongside Gabriel Magalhaes.

He helped Mikel Arteta’s side finished as runners-up in the Premier League for a second year behind Manchester City.

Arsenal ended the season with the best defence record in the Premier League.

The Gunners conceded just 29 goals in total across the campaign.

“When you are in a one-vs-one with him, you’re like, “Okay, you are not going anywhere, big man!”.

“I think this year he was, for me, the best centre-back in the league,” Henry told Premier League’s official YouTube channel.
