Former Manchester United and Liverpool star, Michael Owen has hailed the performance of Ben White for Arsenal this season and said the England international is ‘underrated’.

Ben White provided an assist for Bukayo Saka as Arsenal beat Crystal Palace to move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League on Sunday.

The Gunners beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Emirates with Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka (2), Granit Xhaka all finding the back of the net for Mikel Arteta’s side, while Jeffrey Schlupp fired one back for the visitors.

Owen praised ‘underrated’ White for his role in the win.

“That partnership was particularly impressive,” Owen told Premier League Productions.

“That combination play is very important for Arsenal.

“Ben White gets forward, he links the play and has the pace to get back when he needs to. I feel he’s a bit of an underrated player for Arsenal at the moment,” he added.
