Controversial British broadcaster Piers Morgan has slammed Arsenal after their Premier League 1-1 draw with Brighton on Saturday.
Morgan said the Gunners lacked creativity against Brighton, labelling their performance against the hosts as ‘poor.’
Arsenal took the lead through Ethan Nwaneri in the first half.
Mikel Arteta’s side then missed a few half chances to extend their lead until defender William Saliba was penalised for headbutting Brighton’s Joao Pedro inside the area.
Pedro stepped up and sent Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya the wrong way, as the match eventually ended in a 1-1 draw.
The result leaves Arsenal in second position on the Premier League table with five points behind leaders Liverpool, who have two games in hand.
Reacting, Morgan, a die-hard Arsenal fan, also urged Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to sign a world-class striker this January transfer window.
“Poor result, poor performance. Lacked creativity, looked tired, and Arteta’s inexplicable refusal to buy a world-class striker will cost us any chance of the League title if we keep playing like this,” Morgan wrote on X after the game.
