Former Scotland International Ally McCoist, has asserted Cristiano Ronaldo would not feature for England at ongoing Euro 2024.

McCoist, who appeared on Irish bookmaking website BoyleSports, said the Portugal captain would not make the cut in Gareth Southgate’s team.

“Saying Cristiano Ronaldo wouldn’t play for England, I think it’s probably right,” he said as he compared teams at the ongoing Euro championship.

“Five or ten years ago he walked in and it would be him and 10 others, but father time has caught up to him, as it does to everybody.

“Think that’s where he is at this moment in time, and I don’t think he gets in the England starting 11.”

Ronaldo scored 35 goals and provided 11 assists in 31 league outings for Al-Nassr last season.
