France head coach, Didier Deschamps, has given a worrying update on Kylian Mbappe, following their 1-0 win over Austria at Euro 2024 on Monday night.

Mbappe left the game towards the end with a broken nose and a blood-soaked shirt.

The incident happened after the Real Madrid forward collided with Kevin Danso.

Deschamps told TF1: “Apparently the nose is not good at all. So we’ll see.

“It’s obviously the negative point of the evening. Even if it’s just his nose it’s annoying for us.”

Mbappe is likely to play in the rest of the tournament with a mask.

France plays Netherlands in their next Group D game on Friday night.
