Kenyan singer Otile Brown has opened up about the depth of his fallout with fellow musician Jovial, revealing that their differences have reached a point where he would not want her at his funeral.
Speaking during an interview with Tony Mwirigi on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Otile said the disagreement had affected him deeply and that he did not see himself reconciling with Jovial.
Otile made the remarks while discussing how he views relationships, personal experiences, and the way people treat one another.
“Jovial is someone I’m saying today, even if I die, she is someone who should not be allowed at my funeral. Even if I die today, she should never come to my funeral. That’s how deep it is,” Otile said.

The singer acknowledged that some people have told him that he takes certain situations too seriously. However, he explained that his reaction comes from the way he understands life and relationships, saying that he does not easily overlook things that hurt him.
He maintained that his feelings towards Jovial are connected to what happened between them and how deeply the situation affected him. The latest remarks come months after the two musicians became embroiled in a public dispute that moved from their music collaborations to personal issues.
Fallout began over their music
Otile and Jovial previously worked together on songs, including Jeraha and Zichune. Their relationship came under public scrutiny in July 2026 after a disagreement surrounding their collaboration Ulinihukumu.
Otile claimed that the song had been released without his approval and asked fans not to treat the version circulating online as an official collaboration.
Jovial, however, later accused Otile of failing to pay her royalties from their collaborations. She claimed that they had signed split-sheet agreements for their music but that she had not received the payments she expected.
The dispute subsequently became more personal as the two artists exchanged claims about their past relationship.
