Four dead and nine injured after 14-seater matatu collides with bus on Eldoret-Nakuru highway

Four people died on Monday morning after a 14-seater Matatu they were travelling in collided with a 60-seater bus in the Hill Tea Area on the Nakuru-Eldoret highway.

Reports say the Matatu had 16 passengers on board at the time of the 5 a.m. accident.

Among those who perished are the driver of the matatu as well as three passengers.

Nine other passengers sustained serious injuries and have been admitted to the Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital.

The bodies of the deceased were moved to the Eldama Ravine Sub-County Referral Hospital mortuary after the incident.
