Gen Z Baddie has celebrated Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna as her Shujaa in a Mashujaa Day message praising his courage and commitment to Kenya.

She shared a heartfelt tribute in which she described Sifuna as a person who represents the qualities of a true Shujaa.

Gen Z Baddie said she wanted to use Mashujaa Day to celebrate Sifuna and recognise him for the qualities she believes make someone a Shujaa. She addressed him as “H.E. Edwin Watenya Sifuna” while sharing her message. She also wished him a happy Mashujaa Day.

“On this Mashujaa Day, allow me to celebrate this Shujaa, my Shujaa, H.E. Edwin Watenya Sifuna❤️🇰🇪,” Gen Z Baddie said on Tuesday, October 20, 2026.

She explained that Shujaas are not simply born into the role but are made through moments that test their character. She said such moments come when a person chooses conviction over fear and truth over comfort. She also said courage to stand for the people must be greater than the instinct to protect oneself.

“I believe Shujaas are not born; they are made, in moments: When conviction outweighs fear, when truth becomes more important than comfort, when the courage to stand for the people surpasses the instinct to protect oneself,” Gen Z Baddie said.

Courage and sacrifice define a true Shujaa

Gen Z Baddie further described a true Shujaa as someone willing to stand between bullets and the people despite knowing the cost. She said such a person refuses to abandon the cause even when doing so may come with personal risks. She added that courage and sacrifice are important qualities in someone who chooses to stand for the people.

“A true Shujaa dares to stand between bullets and the people, knowing the cost but refusing to abandon the cause. Courage is the character of a Shujaa, and sacrifice is the language of their love for the people,” Gen Z Baddie said.

She said history would remember people who stood firm when it mattered most. Gen Z Baddie also used the message to encourage Sifuna to maintain his courage and continue standing for Kenya. Her message ended with a Mashujaa Day wish to the person she described as her Shujaa.

“History will remember those who stood firm when it mattered most. Happy Mashujaa Day, Shujaa. May you never lose the courage to stand for Kenya,” Gen Z Baddie said.
