‎Kenyans are getting their first proper look inside the freshly launched matatu fleet belonging to George Kimutai Ruto, President William Ruto’s youngest son, after a content creator posted a detailed video tour of the vehicles online.

‎The footage, shared on Facebook by Zasha Melody, walks viewers through both the exterior and interior of the 98 Sacco nganyas, giving the public a close-up of what George has put together for his transport venture.

‎Key features of a 98 Sacco matatu

‎The brand is officially called 98 Logistics, with the number referencing George’s birth year of 1998 rather than the size of the fleet.

‎As of late 2026, the operation runs 17 highly customised public service vehicles across some of Nairobi’s busiest corridors, including Embakasi and Ongata Rongai.

‎From the outside, the matatus cut a striking figure on the road. Each unit is finished in a signature neon-green and dark colour scheme, complemented by elaborate graffiti and custom artwork.

‎Colourful exterior LED displays add to the dramatic effect, while custom offcut rims give the Isuzu-based minibuses a wider, sportier stance. Upgraded bumpers and side skirts round off the muscular look.

‎Inside is where George clearly invested heavily. Massive television screens, including 65-inch displays, are fitted throughout, and heavy-duty sound systems ensure the audio experience matches the visual spectacle.

‎Passengers also have access to individual phone charging ports and modern air conditioning, making these among the better-equipped nganyas currently operating in the city.

‎The driver’s cabin has also been thoroughly kitted out, with controls for various vehicle functions neatly arranged.

‎Seating remains constant across the fleet, with high-end upholstery carrying the 98 Logistics branding throughout.

‎The vehicles are also fitted with customised registration plates, all featuring the number 100, with only the final letter differing. The detail underlines just how far George has gone in building the brand beyond a standard transport business.

‎The 98 Sacco fleet is fast becoming one of the more talked-about entries in Nairobi’s competitive nganya scene, where standing out visually is as important as the route you run.
