Gospel singer Gloria Muliro is in full celebration mode after clocking five years of marriage to her husband, Pastor Evans Sabwami, and she made sure the world knew about it.
On Thursday, 30 October, the *Sitolia* hitmaker took to Facebook to honour the milestone with a heartfelt message, sharing a collage of photos from a private dinner date the couple enjoyed in Westchester County, New York.
“Five years down, a lifetime of love to go! 🙏❤️ God has been so good to us, and I’m excited for all the beautiful chapters still ahead. Happy Anniversary to us, my love, Evans Sabwami 😍,” she wrote.
In the photos, Gloria is radiant in a red top and beige coat, beaming as she dines with her husband. The post quickly picked up steam, racking up over 914 likes and 143 comments from fans sending love to the couple.
Gloria and Evans: A love story that has stood the test of time
Gloria and Evans first exchanged vows in October 2021, beginning with a traditional wedding in Eldoret on 8 October before jetting to the United States for a white wedding in New York on 23 and 24 October of the same year. The songbird fondly referred to it as her “autumn wedding in New York.”
Evans Sabwami is a pastor, engineer and graphics artist who holds Kenyan-American citizenship and is based in the US. He was previously married and has three children.
Gloria first introduced him to the public on Valentine’s Day in February 2021, describing him as “my best friend, my heart’s safe place.” It was a new chapter of love for the singer, coming six years after her previous marriage to Congolese pastor Eric Omba ended in 2015.
A ministry built together
Since relocating to the United States following their wedding, the couple has built more than just a home. Gloria and Evans have been serving together in ministry and even established a church in New York, blending their personal and spiritual lives in one shared mission.
The five-year anniversary is a meaningful milestone for Gloria, who has been open over the years about the heartbreak she endured before finding love again.
