Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is in contention to win his second consecutive PFA Player of the Year award, having been nominated alongside his teammates Phil Foden and Rodri.
Haaland had another outstanding season, scoring 38 goals across all competitions as City secured an unprecedented fourth straight Premier League title. The Norwegian star previously won the PFA award following City’s treble-winning season in 2022-23.
Rodri played a crucial role in City’s midfield during their recent Premier League success and was instrumental in Spain’s victory at Euro 2024. England playmaker Foden contributed 27 goals for Pep Guardiola’s side last season.
Other nominees for the award include Chelsea forward Cole Palmer, Arsenal midfielder Martin Odegaard, and Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins.
In the women’s category, the award will go to either a Chelsea or Manchester City player. Chelsea’s Niamh Charles, Erin Cuthbert, and Lauren James are shortlisted, along with City’s Yui Hasegawa, Lauren Hemp, and Khadija Shaw.
The winners will be revealed at the PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester on August 20.
