A hospital in Uganda has offered a reward of Shs.10,000,000 (Ksh.378,248) to anyone who can provide information leading to the recovery of their stolen ambulance.

According to reports, the ambulance was stolen after Dr. Andrew Kasangaki, a staff in EMESCO Health Centre IV, went with it to his residence in Kibaale town on Tuesday night.

Police say that hours after Dr. Kasangaki entered his house, his wife stepped out and noticed the ambulance was missing.

They immediately reported the incident to police, which prompted an investigation to find the suspects.

Albertine regional police spokesperson Julius Hakiza told the Daily Monitor that officers from the flying squad department have been deployed to bring the perpetrators to book.

“Our intelligence team is working diligently to bring the perpetrators to justice and recover the ambulance. They are currently having good leads,” he said as quoted.
