Strathmore Leos successfully defended their Embu 7s title with a commanding 19-5 victory over Catholic Monks in the final. This win marks their third consecutive title since 2023. Collins Maina starred with two tries, supported by Stanislaus Shikoli who scored another try.

Arnold Muita converted two of the tries, sealing the match 19-5 in favor of Leos. Felix Okumu scored Monks’ sole try, which went unconverted.

In their journey to the final, Strathmore Leos defeated Rugby on the Road 5-0 in a tough semi-final, while Catholic Monks secured their spot with a 14-0 win over Kabete Stallions. Throughout the tournament, Strathmore Leos maintained a flawless record, finishing unbeaten for the second consecutive year, including a dominant 36-0 victory over Administration Police in the quarter-finals.

Embu 7s serves as a crucial local sevens series for teams preparing for the upcoming National Sevens Circuit, which begins with the Christie 7s on the last weekend of July. Following that, the Kakamega 7s is scheduled for August 3 and 4, 2024.
