Police in Kuresoi North are investigating the murder of a middle-aged woman who was discovered dead in her bed on Monday morning with a deep cut on her forehead.

The victim’s two children were sleeping beside their mother’s body when the discovery was made, according to Sarambei sub-location assistant chief Joseph Ng’eno.

Although no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the murder thus far, neighbors have pointed fingers at the woman’s suitor, who remains at large.

Mau Summit police officers arrived on the scene and recovered an axe believed to have been used in the murder

Meanwhile, the victim’s body has been moved to the Molo Subcounty hospital Mortuary awaiting autopsy and investigations.
