Defending champions Kabras Sugar and KCB have declared their line ups for Saturday’s Kenya Cup final at the Kakamega Showground.

After topping the league phase of the Kenya Cup unbeaten, Kabras Sugar defeated Kenya Harlequin 22-8 in their semifinal at the Kakamega Showground on Saturday 4 March 2023.

KCB finished second, suffering only one defeat along the way, and that was against Kabras. They also earned a home semifinal by virtue of a top two finish and defeated Menengai Oilers 38-20 at the KCB Sports Club.

This match will be the 16th overall Kenya Cup meeting between the two sides, and 6th in a Kenya Cup final.

It kicks off at 3.00pm at the Kakamega Showground with ticket prices retailing at a flat rate of Ksh 200.

The Kakamega Showground is Kabras Sugar’s home, and since they were the highest ranked team at the close of the league phase, they were guaranteed a home semifinal and final in the event that they emerged victorious.

Defending champions Kabras Sugar have two  titles to their name, winning in 2016 with a 22-5 final win over Impala Saracens at the Impala Club and again in 2022 when they defeated Menengai Oilers 35-28 at the The Bull Ring in Kakamega.
