Jackie Matubia celebrates daughter as she vies for school Head Girl position

Kenyan actress and content creator Jackie Matubia has celebrated her daughter as she takes part in a school election to become Head Girl.

In a post shared on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, Matubia shared a video of her daughter confidently delivering her speech as she vies for the leadership position, expressing pride in the young girl and the qualities she continues to develop.

“Watching my daughter stand there, confidently giving her speech as she vies for Head Girl… my heart was so full,” Matubia wrote.

She described her daughter as a confident girl, a leader and brilliant in her academics, while also noting her commitment to swimming.

“God really blessed me with this child,” she added, reflecting on the joy she experiences watching her daughter grow and pursue different interests.

A proud mother watching her daughter lead

For Matubia, her daughter’s participation in the election represents more than the possibility of winning a school title. She said the young girl is among the biggest reasons she continues to work hard and push through difficult days.

“Sometimes I look at her and think, what more could I possibly ask God for?” she wrote.

The actress said her daughter’s determination and accomplishments inspire her to keep going, describing her as one of the reasons she remains motivated even when life becomes challenging.

The moment also allowed Matubia to reflect on her own journey as a mother and acknowledge the role she has played in raising her daughter.

Matubia gives herself flowers for motherhood

Alongside celebrating her daughter, Matubia said she is learning to recognise and appreciate her own efforts as a mother.

“And as her mother, I’m also learning to give myself my flowers,” she stated.

She described raising the young girl as one of her greatest achievements, highlighting the pride she feels in watching her become confident, academically focused and willing to take on leadership opportunities.

Matubia encouraged her daughter to pursue the opportunity wholeheartedly, regardless of the outcome of the election.

“Go for it, my girl. Whether you get the title or not, you are already a leader in my eyes,” she wrote.
