Kenyan comedienne and content creator Jemutai has warmed hearts online after sharing a photo showing off all her children with fellow comedian Hamo, celebrating the little ones in a tender social media moment.
The funny woman, whose full name is Stella Bunei Koitie, posted the family photo on her official Facebook page, captioning it with the words:
“My little hearts. My greatest blessing and my biggest responsibility.”
Jemutai and Hamo’s Co-Parenting Journey
Jemutai and Hamo, whose real name is Herman Kago, share two children together following a relationship that played out very publicly over the years. Their story became one of the most talked-about in Kenyan entertainment circles after Jemutai publicly accused Hamo of neglecting their children, a revelation that stirred significant debate among fans and fellow comedians alike.
Previously, in an interview with The Kisiangani Podcast, Jemutai said she was 24 and very naive when she got into a relationship with the comedian.
“But because I have two kids, I can’t say I was naive…” she explained.
Jemutai said she was forced to move out of her mother’s house and rented a KSh5,000 house, bought a mattress and used to sleep on the floor.
“My neighbour Sarah used to give me food and would go to her house to watch TV because I didn’t have one,” she said.
The multi-talented comedienne said she turned down a KSh 5 million job because she was pregnant and was scared it would have been known that she was dating Hamo.
“I suffered after I got pregnant with my first child. I used to cry, and at some point I called Mammito to host me because I couldn’t afford to pay rent,” she narrated.
The two seemed to have since worked towards a more stable co-parenting arrangement and kept posting each other, with Hamo making jokes about his affair.
Rumours about their breakup started in 2023, and in late 2024, they were no longer together. Jemutai relocated to her Uasin Gishu County with her two children, and her latest post appears to signal a peaceful chapter in that journey. Seeing the children together and clearly thriving drew plenty of warm attention online.
