Salvation Healing Ministry founder pastor Victor Kanyari has taken a swipe at Kenyan pastors, saying most of them pretend to be different from who they really are.

He said on Monday, September 21, 2026, he has chosen to remain real in his work as a pastor because he sees no reason to pretend.

The pastor explained that preaching came naturally to him because he grew up in a family that was involved in matters of God. He said his love for preaching is also a major reason why he continues to do it.

“I am preaching because I love preaching. Nilizaliwa katika familia ya mambo ya mungu. So nilijikuta tu katika hiyo. I choose to be real. Hakuna haja nijifanye. Most of the pastors in Kenya wanajifanya. They are not real, na pia wanaogopa watu watasema nini. That is why mimi hukua real pastor Kanyari,” Kanyari said.
