Gospel singer and philanthropist Karangu Muraya is beaming with pride after his daughter Arianna marked a big milestone, graduating to Grade 1 and walking away with a rare honour from her school.
Karangu shared the exciting news on his official Facebook page, posting a collage of four photos that quickly captured hearts across the platform. In his caption, he wrote:
“Am super proud of my Arianna as she graduate to Grade 1; on top of that my girl has been awarded a compassionate certificate as the most compassionate girl in her class. May God protect you darling… Thank you my Carol for being a Good mum.”
Arianna’s graduation photos melt hearts
The photos showed Arianna dressed in a full graduation gown, black cap and a “Congrats” sash, holding a money bouquet made up of KSh 1,000 and KSh 500 notes arranged with pink flowers, a classic Kenyan celebration gift.
Carol Kim stood beside her in a light purple lace dress and stylish sunglasses, smiling broadly as she presented the bouquet to her daughter. One shot captured the two posing next to a black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, while another showed Carol handing Arianna a gift box.
What resonated most with fans was the compassionate certificate. Being named the most compassionate pupil in her class, at such a young age, spoke to the kind of child Arianna is growing up to be.
Karangu’s bond with Arianna and Carol Kim
Arianna is the biological daughter of Karangu’s second wife, Carol Kim, but the Kikuyu musician and businessman has embraced her fully as his own. During the burial of his late brother Paul Karangu in Murang’a County in April 2026, he publicly introduced her to mourners as Arianna Karangu, leaving no doubt about how he views their bond.
Karangu married Carol Kim as his second wife in early 2025, a union that attracted significant public attention and led to a fallout with his first wife, Triza Njeri. The two have since agreed to co-parent their three children peacefully.
Carol has become a steady presence in Karangu’s life through some of his most difficult chapters, including supporting him through the illness and eventual death of his brother Kagema, who succumbed to TB meningitis and extrapulmonary TB.
Karangu has previously expressed his gratitude for her support, writing:
“Appreciation post. Dear Lord, thank you for giving me a caring, supportive and loving wife. Thank you, my Carol, for always being there for me; thank you for always giving me a shoulder to lean on. From the bottom of my heart, I love you, mama Ariana.”
By closing his graduation post with a thank you to Carol for being a good mum, Karangu was marking not just Arianna’s academic step forward, but also recognising the woman behind her growth. As Arianna steps into Grade 1 with a compassion award already under her belt, her family could not be prouder.
