An 18-year-old autistic young man named Isaac Maina Irungu has been missing since Saturday, and his family is desperately calling on the public to help bring him home.
Isaac was last spotted at Kayole Nyaura Stage in Nairobi, where witnesses reported seeing him board a bus bound for the city’s Central Business District.
Why Isaac’s Family Fear for His Safety
Since that moment, his family has had no word of his whereabouts, and their anxiety deepens with every passing hour.
What makes Isaac’s disappearance particularly distressing is his condition. Because he is autistic, his family say he faces significant communication challenges.
That could make it very difficult for him to tell a stranger his name, describe where he lives or ask for help in a way that someone might easily understand.
This means that even a well-meaning Good Samaritan who encounters him may not immediately realise he needs assistance finding his way home.

His family is especially concerned about commuters and operators on the Kayole route, urging them to stay alert and look out for any young man who appears confused or in need of direction.
