The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced a planned partial interruption of its prepaid token vending system to facilitate an upgrade. The affected system will be unavailable from Sunday, June 2 at 10 pm to Monday, June 3 at 10 pm.

During this maintenance period, customers will be unable to purchase electricity tokens from all vending points, including Kenya Power offices, their MPESA Paybill number, Airtel Money, and all banking channels.

To avoid any inconveniences, Kenya Power has urged customers to stock up on tokens before the maintenance period begins. This precaution will ensure that customers have a sufficient electricity supply while the system is down for the upgrade.
