Kenyan millionaires have a soft spot for expensive designer brands.
If it’s not the costly cars and lavish bungalows, it’s all the other tangible things that come with an outrageous price tag.
So, to give you a clearer look into the most expensive outfits that some of your favorite politicians and celebrities have won or have been spotted in, we have a list in place;
1. Hassan Joho
Former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho recently made headlines for his expensive fashion taste.
He was spotted wearing a white Moncler Dincer jacket, which costs Sh230,000, and a pair of Alexander McQueen New Court Eco low-top sneakers worth Sh70,000.
The jacket had French roots and featured red and blue stripes running on both sides of the hands.
The politician is known for his taste in finer things since it’s not the first time he has been spotted wearing outfits costing thousand of shillings from famous brands.
In early March, he was spotted wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak watch that is estimated to be around 4 million in price which shocked Kenyans.
2. Francis Atwoli
During an interview with Jeff Koinange, the flamboyant Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli disclosed that he splashed Sh5 million on the Franck Muller watch he was wearing revealing that he paid the pricey watch in installments and its pure gold.
He also continued by saying that his suit cost over one million Kenyan shillings.
3. Uhuru Kenyatta
President Uhuru Kenyatta shifted from wearing Brioni suits to expensive and opulent sleek shirts.
In 2018 while on a tour of Mombasa the former president appeared publicly wearing an Italian Stefano Ricci silk Paisleyprint designer shirt worth 134,000 Kenyan shillings.
4. Mike Sonko
The former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko also has expensive taste from how he dresses to the cars he drives.
He has often been spotted donning other designers; chains, rings, earrings, watches, and jackets with jaw-dropping price tags.
In April 2019, he splashed Sh4.3 million in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on a Versace pendant and chain.
5. Steve Mbogo
In an interview, Mbogo revealed that he owns expensive designer suits from Massimo Dutti, Canali, and Massimo Bossi adding that the most expensive suit that he owns costs more tha 800, 000.
