A Kenyan woman based in Germany has left social media users in admiration after sharing photos of the house she built for her mother back home in Kenya, complete with a freshly painted exterior, a driveway and a generous compound.

Annette, who is married to a German man, took to Facebook to respond to a netizen who had seemingly suggested she should build a home for her mother. Her response was swift and unapologetic.
“I built my mum a house years ago! See God!” she wrote, adding that her mother had recently given the property a fresh coat of paint.
Annette described the home with visible pride, marvelling at how well it had come together over the years.
