A man from Kamakis, Kiambu County, who was arrested after footage of him assaulting his wife’s cousin went viral, has found himself back in the public eye following the emergence of a second video that appears to show him destroying property inside his own home.
The original clip, which shocked many Kenyans online, showed a man repeatedly beating a woman who could be heard screaming and begging him to stop.
Several viewers initially believed the victim was his daughter, given how close another woman stood to the scene. Simon Mwangi Muthiora, who had been tracking the case, later clarified that the woman being attacked was in fact a cousin of the man’s wife.
What Led to the First Assault
According to a family source, the wife had reportedly been drinking when she called her cousin and asked her to come over.
The cousin, who was already nearby, agreed and visited to offer company and support. What she did not anticipate was that the husband had allegedly been in the bedroom the whole time, listening to their conversation.
He then came out and attacked her without any warning. People close to the family say the wife allegedly drinks regularly and that her husband reportedly provides her with alcohol while discouraging her from spending time with relatives and friends.
The housegirl who captured the incident on camera later admitted she had feared she would be the next target.
Second Video Raises Fresh Alarm
Footage now circulating online, allegedly filmed in August 2025, shows the man alone in the living room pulling a television off its wall mount and damaging other household items including a sound system. Those who shared the clip say his wife had locked herself in the bedroom after he became aggressive during a disagreement.
In the video, the man can be heard saying, “Go away, I do not see your use, let me remove this thing,” as he dismantles the television.
The clip has left many questioning whether his behaviour points to unresolved anger, a mental health condition, or straightforward violence.

Novy Saburi commented:
“As much as his character is wanting, he deserves a fair hearing. No man gets mad from nowhere even when the witchcraft have decided to overwork. Above all every choice has consequences.”
Karen Mo Rich added:
“This is a person with mental issues. He needs to be checked. Accept he has a problem and attend therapy. Healing starts with identifying the issue, accepting it and taking necessary action. If he did harm someone in the process, he will still have to face the consequences for his actions regardless of whatever is going on with him.”
