Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and his wife made quite the entrance at Charlene Ruto’s white wedding in Mwanza, Tanzania, on November 6, arriving in outfits that immediately set them apart from the crowd.
A photo taken at the lakeside venue captures the couple walking side by side along a paved path, palm trees and the shimmering waters of Lake Victoria forming a stunning backdrop behind them.
Murkomen’s wedding-day look
The CS swapped his trademark formal suits for something far more relaxed and statement-making. He chose a long-sleeved patterned shirt in maroon, gold and brown tones that worked perfectly with the wedding’s maroon colour palette, paired with crisp white trousers and polished black leather shoes.
He topped it all off with a light brown straw fedora hat, dark sunglasses and a sleek black walking cane held in his right hand. The combination gave him an effortlessly composed, elder-at-the-wedding energy that is hard to miss.
His wife stole the show in emerald teal Standing beside him, Murkomen’s wife turned just as many heads in a floor-length emerald teal gown.
The off-shoulder, one-shoulder draped design featured ruched detailing that fell gracefully to the floor.
She accessorised with white pointed heels, a small silver chain handbag, a delicate silver necklace and a gold fascinator tucked into her braided hair, finishing the look with dark sunglasses and a watch.
In the candid photo, she is seen glancing over at her husband with a smile as they walk together, while other guests and security personnel mingle on the green lawns behind them.
