A man and his girlfriend are being held at Kisumu Central police station in connection with a murder incident after a 22-year-old woman was pushed from the second floor of a storey building at Lolwe estate over a suspected love triangle.

Kisumu Central Sub-county police boss Peter Mulai says the deceased engaged in an altercation with the two leading to the incident on Monday night.

Mulai says the man aged 30 is suspected to have pushed the woman from the balcony of his house leading to her death.

Mulai says that according to neighbours, the deceased had followed the man, 30, to the house and found him with another woman, 25, when a confrontation ensued and the deceased was pushed down from the balcony.

The police boss says the man then drove the lady to a hospital but she was pronounced dead on arrival, adding that the duo will be arraigned and charged upon completion of investigations.
