Vincent Kompany has challenged Bayern Munich fans to give everything to their home clash as the German champions host PSG in the return leg of the UEFA Champions League semifinal in a week’s time.

The Bavarians were beaten 5-4 away at Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, in a thrilling first leg.

Goal fest in Paris

Harry Kane and Michael Olise scored for Bayern in the first half, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, João Neves, and Ousmane Dembélé netting for PSG.

Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé made it 5-2 after half-time, but Bayern fought back, and goals by Dayot Upamecano and Luis Díaz mean it’s all to play for in the second leg next week after the highest-scoring semi-final game in Champions League history.

Ahead of what promises to be an equally exciting return leg, the Belgian has challenged the fans to create a rousing atmosphere and make the place hostile for Luis Enrique’s team.

“We saw that games like this are decided by all small details, like corners, which can be to one’s advantage or disadvantage. The second leg at home, and I request that anyone who has bought a ticket and doesn’t feel good stay home. Let them give it to some of the fittest who can generate the atmosphere at Allianz Arena,” Kompany said.

Give everything

“It is important that 70 thousand fans at Allianz Arena can give everything. It is all about winning not one to two goals, but only with that support we can achieve that,” he stated.

During the high-scoring encounter, Kane dispatched from the spot after Bayern were awarded a penalty when Díaz was upended in the box.

The lead did not last long as Kvaratskhelia beat Manuel Neuer to level the scores.

Neves then responded by taking the hosts on the lead from a corner, only for Michael Olise to hammer past Safonov to restore parity again.

Dembele’s penalty

PSG were awarded a penalty for handball after review, and Dembélé converted to restore PSG’s lead on the stroke of half-time.

The scoring drama ensued in the final half as Achraf Hakimi’s low cross invited the unmarked Kvaratskhelia to fire inside the near post. The home side made it five three minutes later, Dembélé finding the net via the inside of the post after a break.

Bayern’s Upamecano diverted Kimmich’s free-kick into the back of the net to reduce the deficit before Díaz brought it back to 5-4 after taking down Kane’s sublime long ball and firing past Safanov to make it 5-4.
