Karangu Muraya, the Kenyan philanthropist and content creator, has found himself at the centre of a domestic dispute that has spilled very publicly onto social media, with leaked bank transaction records now drawing fresh attention to claims made by his estranged first wife, Triza.
Blogger Purity Macharia took to Facebook hours ago to share what appears to be a genuine Equity Bank SMS notification showing a transaction of KES 10,500 made by Peter Karangu Muraya to a school account.
The deposit, recorded on March 16 at 2:30pm, carries the reference number UCG2Q9HRSO and was made directly to a school account.
Why did blogger leak the messages?
The screenshots came in direct response to allegations Triza made against Karangu, accusing him of failing to pay their children’s school fees while continuing to portray himself as a devoted family man on social media.
The accusation struck a nerve given Karangu’s public image as a generous, community-focused figure whose philanthropic efforts have earned him a sizeable following.
Purity shared the leaked bank messages as counter-evidence, suggesting that the records prove Karangu has in fact been meeting his financial obligations to his children.
