Angelica Akinyi Okoth, widely known as the mother of Lyndah Kebati’s half-sibling, has broken her silence on the tense events that unfolded at the late Bosco’s burial, sharing her side of the story in an emotional TikTok live broadcast that has since gone viral.
In the live-streamed video posted on September 2o, 2026, Angelica, speaking in a mix of Swahili and English, introduced herself plainly:
“Me, I’m Angelica. I’m the mother of Theelove Child.”
How Angelica found out about Bosco’s death
She recounted learning of Bosco’s passing through a relative who broke the news to her cautiously, and how she then called a cousin named Eva to confirm the information.
When she reached out to Eva the following day, however, she was met with anger, with Eva telling her that anyone who spoke with Bosco’s other family was being cut off from communication.
Determined to handle things respectfully, Angelica said she sent a representative named Mutua to the home ahead of her visit, asking that arrangements be discussed jointly.
But according to her, Mutua’s message was misunderstood, with some family members believing she was coming to take Bosco’s belongings and documents.
Confrontation at the family home
When Angelica arrived, she said she found a charged atmosphere and tried to speak privately with her co-wife, who told her that all decisions were being handled by elders and others who had not yet arrived. Things quickly deteriorated from there.
She described a dramatic scene in which mourners began screaming and banging on iron sheets after misinterpreting her presence, with some reportedly hurling furniture and water at her.
“They were carrying chairs above their heads and pouring water. I was hit with a chair until I swelled up,” she said.
Amid the chaos, she claimed that large amounts of money were being thrown into the conversation, with figures of 1.7 million and 3.4 million shillings being mentioned, though she said she did not fully understand what the sums referred to at the time.
“It was like a movie to me because I didn’t understand what was going on,” she added.
Angelica concluded by pointing a finger at Mutua as the source of much of the conflict between the two families, saying:
“Mutua is the person causing all this drama in both families.”
